Kathleen earned her B.S. and M.A. at Hofstra University in New York. She was a Certified Financial Planner from 1988 until her retirement and past president and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association of Long Island. She was a member of the Board of Directors from 1989 - 2004.
After a decade of teaching secondary school, Ms. Keegan decided to make a career change. In 1983, she wanted to become more knowledgeable about money and embarked on a long journey into the world of financial services. After receiving initial training in life insurance, Kathleen was hired by Shearson Lehman Bros and would eventually become an independent financial planner in 1988. In January of 1993, Kathleen founded the corporation of K-M Capital Inc. Kathleen officially retired at the end of 2024 and is no longer professionally affiliated with KM Capital Group.
Ms. Keegan’s passion is travelling the globe as she has been to over 90 countries. Each trip she takes is a lesson in the uniqueness and the similarities of mankind.
